SUMMARY:John Ruskin and Sheffield
DESCRIPTION:Please note new time and venue. If using the adjacent car park\, don’t forget to notify Reception of your vehicle registration number. \nToday\, Ashley Gallant\, Curator of the Ruskin Collection\, Museums Sheffield\, will talk about John Ruskin\, who has an almost legendary status in Sheffield\, with places and institutions named after him. John Ruskin was a Victorian writer who searched for beauty in the world around him and who founded a museum for Sheffield workers who had little to inspire them. He filled it with a collection of artworks\, illustrated books and minerals – the collection is owned by the Guild of St George.
